Pay for documented clinical work
Our medical practice provides active physician supervision, patient evaluations, chart review, clinical consultation, on-site training, and skills verification. The agreement and supervision work ledger should describe the work performed and who is responsible for it.
Pricing depends on the agreed services, time, staffing, locations, and patient needs. A physician’s name on an agreement is not a substitute for actual clinical participation.

What the scope should describe
Specify the clinical services, physician availability, chart review, patient evaluations, training, documentation, and follow-up included in the arrangement. Identify any separately billed services and how scope changes are handled.
Our commitments include 100% chart review and at least 10% of good faith exams personally performed by the supervising physician, with on-site support and documented oversight.

Physician oversight and Spa Clear pricing reference
These figures are supplied by Texas Med Spa Directors for planning. They are not an independent fair market value appraisal, a statutory rate, or a guarantee of final contract terms. Assess fair market value against the actual duties, documented time, qualifications, and comparable arrangements.

Illustrative planning calculations
Physician cost = documented hours × agreed hourly rate. Four hours: $840–$1,080. Eight hours: $1,680–$2,160.
Spa Clear exam cost = completed GFEs × $10. One hundred GFEs: $1,000. If separately billable and non-overlapping, four physician hours plus 100 GFEs total $1,840–$2,080. Avoid counting work twice when it is already included in an agreement.
A typical Spa Clear encounter reviews approximately three proposed services. The charge is per completed GFE, not per service. Each proposed treatment still needs individualized evaluation; the number reviewed does not imply automatic clearance.

Services and patient needs
The treatment menu, clinical complexity, monitoring, and follow-up affect the time and expertise required. No single treatment category always carries the greatest oversight burden.
Team and locations
Provider credentials, responsibilities, hours of operation, and sites determine the clinical support needed. Define consultation and emergency access for the care actually delivered.
Documentation and review
Budget for establishing and maintaining protocols, orders, competency records, and supervision documentation as the practice changes.
New practices and existing operations
A new practice needs its clinical workflows established. An existing practice needs a review of current agreements, records, protocols, and staffing before changes are planned.
The work required varies. Neither a new opening nor a replacement arrangement is automatically more expensive; define the scope before comparing fees.
Integrated GFEs through Spa Clear
Spa Clear is offered through Spa Suite software provided by We Treat. Our practice requires GFEs to be integrated with the patient record, applicable standing orders, treatment protocols, and ongoing physician supervision.
A documented chain of clinical accountability connects the evaluating clinician, chief medical officer or supervising physician, and the nurse or other licensed professional providing delegated treatment. Record the evaluator, findings, proposed services, treatment decision, applicable orders, and the treating clinician’s access to that information before care proceeds.
Our service does not accept stand-alone external GFE clearances disconnected from this clinical workflow. This is our practice policy, not a statement that every external evaluation service is unlawful in every jurisdiction.

Our medical practice provides 100% chart review, with at least 10% of all good faith exams personally performed by the active supervising physician. On-site visits, over-the-shoulder training, skills certification and verification, and a documented supervision work ledger support ongoing care.
These are our service commitments, documented in the supervision plan, rather than universal legal minimums. The supervising physician remains responsible for delegated medical acts, and each clinician retains their individual license obligations.
Common questions about cost
Is there a setup fee?
Setup work and any setup fee depend on the agreed scope. The physician reference of $210–$270 per hour and Spa Clear fee of $10 per completed GFE are planning references; the written agreement identifies included work and any separate charges.
Why do quotes vary so much?
Compare documented duties, physician time, availability, training, chart review, locations, and patient needs. Different scopes produce different fees; a quoted price alone does not establish fair market value.
Can one physician cover multiple locations?
Potentially, provided the physician can meet applicable delegation, availability, supervision, and patient-care requirements at every location. Evaluate the staffing, service mix, travel, and coverage plan rather than assuming one arrangement fits every site.
What else should I budget for?
Allow for professional liability coverage, training, clinical systems, supplies, emergency readiness, and any separately agreed services. Avoid double-counting physician or exam work already included in your agreement.
