Our active supervision standards

Texas Med Spa Directors provides active, documented physician supervision—not a paper-only medical director arrangement. The supervising physician remains responsible for delegated medical acts.

Chart review and exams. Our service includes 100% chart review, with at least 10% of all good faith exams personally performed by the active supervising physician.

Hands-on clinical support. On-site visits, over-the-shoulder training, and skills certification and verification support safe practice. A documented work ledger records supervision activities, reviews, exams, training, and follow-up.

Accountable practice governance. Our supervising practice documents and exercises the financial, behavioral, and legal control appropriate to each licensed role and engagement, including RNs, NPs, PAs, and physicians, while preserving professional judgment and each clinician’s license obligations.

These are our service commitments, documented in the practice supervision plan, rather than universal legal minimums. The Texas Medical Board has warned about inadequate physician involvement in medical spa care.
